Curriculum
Currently, there are four levels, where students are placed based on their knowledge of Islam. A test is given at the beginning and end of the semester to ensure progress is made and to move students up in levels, when needed. The curriculum taught in the HIS program includes: - KG: General Islamic Studies and Manner.
- Qur’an/Arabic: Memorization, Reading and Tafseer.
- Islamic Studies: Seerah, Islamic History
- Islamic Studies: Aqidah & Ibadat and Islamic Manners. HIS also works on achieving the goal of teaching Muslim students other important tasks and skills through extracurricular activities as well as a semester-end celebration for all the hard work the students have done throughout the semester. -
Parent Involvement
As a Sunday school primarily run by a volunteer-based community, parent involvement is crucial to the development and growth of the HIS. We encourage parents to participate in the school as well as invest in the students by helping them with their homework and any extra requests they may have. As the school administrators and teachers try their best to achieve a goal of success, with the help of the parents, the potential goal could be met more efficiently and effectively. For more information about parent involvement and how you can help your student and HIS, please contact the HIS school administrators.
